Kelly Reichardt’s Wendy and Lucy leads the winners of the Toronto Film Critics’ Association Awards.
The movie was named best picture of the year, with its star Michelle Williams being named best actress.
Rachel Getting Married was another major winner, scooping best director for Jonathan Demme, best screenplay for Jenny Lumet and best supporting actress for Rosemarie DeWitt.
The movie just missed out the major awards; it was the runner-up for best picture and its star Anne Hathaway was the runner-up for the best actress award.
Other awards went to The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke for best actor, Heath Ledger for best supporting actor and WALL-E for best animated film.
