Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire has been honored by The American Film Institute (AFI).
The movie was named one of 2008’s eight Moments of Significance in Film, TV and Web.
A spokesperson for the AFI said Slumdog Millionaire “stands as a monument to the possibilities of cross-cultural storytelling”.
