Angelina Jolie has paid tribute to her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died in 2007.
The actress became tearful at a London as she called her mother the “softest, most gentle woman in the world”. Jolie went on to dedicate her performance in her new movie ‘Changeling’ to her.
She said her character in ‘Changeling’, Christine Collins, “was very much” like her mother. In the movie, set in 1920s Los Angeles, fights for the truth after her son disappears.
Jolie told journalists her mother possessed the same “elegance and strength for knowing what was right” as her character.
‘Changeling’ was directed by Clint Eastwood.
