Naomi Watts and Clive Owen’s political thriller The International will open the Berlin Film Festival next year, it’s been announced.
The movie, which was directed by Tom Tykwer, will launch the Festival on 5th February 2009.
Actress Tilda Swinton will chair the Festival’s international jury.
The Berlin Film Festival runs from 5th to the 15th February.
This year’s event was kick started by a viewing of Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones concert movie Shine a Light.
