Sex and the City fans don’t hold your breath for a sequel of the hit movie. The film’s stylist says the sequel won’t be hitting screens for a while yet.

Patricia Fields says the movie is at a “really early” stage, with no script written on release date set.

“I do believe it will happen because [creator] Michael Patrick King himself told me it’s gonna happen,” Fields told MTV. “But I haven’t received any official information yet.”

Adding: “King has to write a new script. It’s a long process. I don’t think it will happen in 2009. But you never know. Maybe the end [of the year]. That’s unofficial. I have really no idea. I don’t think there’s a set date anyway. It’s in the really early process.”
